ARXivar Sign: the complete solution for all
types of electronic signatures

Simple electronic signature

La Firma Elettronica Semplice (SES) is a digital signing method recognized by the European Union’s eIDAS Regulation. It does not require qualified certificates or complex cryptographic devices. Under eIDAS, this type of signature represents the most basic level of electronic signature (compared to Advanced and Qualified Electronic Signatures) and can be used as an expression of intent, although it provides a lower level of security and signer identification.

  • It is often used for low-risk contracts, online approvals, and internal procedures.
  • SES provides a basic level of security and traceability by linking the signed data to the signer.
  • It is ideal when operational simplicity, fast signing processes, and cost efficiency are key requirements for modern public and private organizations.

Qualified electronic signature

The Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) is the highest level of electronic signature defined by the eIDAS Regulation. It is based on a qualified certificate issued by a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) and uses a secure signature creation device. ARXivar Sign offers a one-shot QES service. The qualified certificate is issued temporarily by a Qualified Trust Service Provider and used for a single signing transaction, following strong identification through SPID, CIE, or video identification.

  • It ensures reliable signer identification, document integrity, and non-repudiation.
  • QES has the same legal value as a handwritten signature and is recognized across all European Union Member States.
  • It is used for deeds, contracts, and documents that require the highest level of legal certainty.
  • With the Long-Term Qualified Electronic Signature, the signer completes the identification process only once and can continue signing for up to 3 years while maintaining the highest legal validity.

Advanced electronic signature

For a more robust signer identity verification, ideal for use cases that require the highest level of security, ARXivar Sign integrates ARXivar Onboarding into the Advanced Electronic Signature workflow.

To be legally valid, an Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) must meet three fundamental requirements:

  • Reliable signer identification: ARXivar Onboarding ensures that only the legitimate individual can sign the document, verifying their identity through CIE, SPID, or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Document integrity: ARXivar Sign ensures that the signed document has not been altered in any way after the signature has been applied.
  • Signature uniqueness: ARXivar Sign guarantees that each signature is unique and cannot be replicated.

Graphometric signature

The Graphometric Signature is a specific type of Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) obtained by capturing the signer’s biometric data at the moment they place their signature on dedicated digital devices, such as tablets, signature pads, or smartphones, permanently linking this information to the signed electronic document.

Electronic Signature

The user reviews the documents, and the workflow guides them through selecting the signature fields and entering all required information. Once the signature summary is confirmed, the phone number associated with the user’s session is verified through an OTP code (via SMS or email), and the signature is applied to the documents.
