Customer and supplier companies will be able to take advantage of ABLE Tech‘s European E-procurement platform IX PEPPOL to exchange electronic documents in UBL format.
In Italy, from 1 October, orders and related documents must only be sent and received in a defined digital format (UBL) and using the network of servers for interchange, called Nodo di Smistamento Ordini (NSO), which uses the PEPPOL protocol.

What is Peppol
The Peppol project was developed within the framework of the European Programme for Innovation and Competitiveness to enable all economic operators in the EU to participate easily in public tenders of other Member States. The operator can send its offers in the form of a catalogue, receive orders and issue invoices in digital format. The safe and standardised exchange of documents is ensured by ‘Access Points’, nodes in the network.
“This certification represents a further step towards new international challenges, combining national electronic storage and invoicing services with those linked to the new communication and format standards towards which Europe is moving”, commented Claudio Vigasio, CEO of Able Tech.
